Accurate measurements help us shape your gown to you.
Follow each instruction in centimetres and ask someone to help where possible.
Taking your measurements
- Use a soft dressmaker’s tape and measure in centimetres.
- Wear fitted clothing or the underwear you plan to wear with your gown.
- Stand naturally. Do not pull the tape tight or add extra allowance.
- Ask another person or a professional tailor to take the measurements.

Measurements FAQ
Choosing your size for Pre-order
Choose the size closest to your measurements. After you order, we send you a link to fill in our measurements form.
Your dress will be made to your best size, plus your exact skirt length.
If you are between sizes, we will contact you and help you choose the size that suits your figure best.
Choosing your size for Ready to Wear
This is a from-the-rack purchase. Choose your size, or if you are between sizes, choose the one that accommodates your largest measurement.
Many designs use lacing or elastic and can hold a variation of about two sizes, depending on the design.
We cannot customise Ready to Wear dresses before dispatch. If you need a shorter hem or a closer fit, a local seamstress can shorten it.
Skirt length
Ready to Wear long gowns come with a standard skirt length of 120 cm (approximately 47 inches) from the waist.
For pre-order your length will be cut to you, from your waist to floor measurement and your heel height. Send both, and use the heels you plan to wear on the day.
When your dress is dispatched
| How you order | Dispatch time starts from | Dispatch timeframe |
|---|---|---|
| Ready to Wear | The date we receive the measurements you send us after purchase | Up to 4 weeks. Earlier dispatch may be possible, depending on where your size is held. |
| Pre-order | The date we receive and confirm your measurements | 3 months, unless we agree a different timeframe with you. |
| Bespoke | Confirmation of your final measurements and specification | Approximately 4 to 6 months, unless a different timeframe is agreed. |
Bespoke
Contact us before ordering if your measurements fall outside the size chart, you need a different torso length, or you would like a substantial change to the design or the skirt shape. We can also discuss an individual design made for you. An individual skirt length is already included in every pre-order. Bespoke requests are assessed and quoted individually, and we confirm the price, the agreed specifications and the timeframe before proceeding.
If you expect your measurements to change, let us know before ordering so we can discuss when to take your final measurements and whether the timing will work for your wedding.
Rush
A rush fee of USD 250 applies to an accepted rush order. Rush availability depends on our tailors' capacity and must be confirmed by us before you order. We will confirm the revised dispatch timeframe. Delivery time remains additional. A rush order is not expedited carrier delivery and does not guarantee arrival by any particular date.
